If you are currently a student, have graduated or going into this program, how do you like it? Do you feel prepared for nclex? How are the teachers, clinical sites? Anything and everything will be so greatly appreciated! I would love to hear any input that you can provide for me. Thank you. =)

Can you tell me how many credit hours it is for each class? I plan on applying for FAFSA and want to try and figure out how much I'd be approved for if I only go PT. Also, are the pre-req's 14 weeks long as well? And are the evening hours pretty flexible? Do you know when the spring semester starts? Thanks in advance for any input

One more question..I see on their website that the pre-req for their BIO 110 course is BIO w/lab and CHEM w/lab or 1 yr of high school BIO and CHEM. So if I don't already have these, do they offer these pre-req's as well?

Hi, I don't recall seeing any classes for bio or chem in their list....I think they may ask you to do Anatomy and Physiology I+II in lieu of that, I'm not sure.

Re the Spring schedule......the only complaint I have about the school is they always announce the schedule at the very last minute. So, no, I don't even know when my January classes start (role transition). Best idea is to go to one of their info sessions. They don't answer much on the phone, but if you are prepared with all of your questions and take it to their info session, you should be good to go.

Do you know how many credit hours each of the pre-req and core classes are?

Hi schmoane and LasFresas48

Hi there,

They didn't issue those ATI Nurse notes to our class. Apparently they don't publish that book anymore. They are now recommending Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN Exam. You can purchase it from the school during role transition.

What are the weekend hours for this school?

Thanks...

Hi. I know that on Fridays they are open from 9am to 2pm and from 9am to 12pm on Saturdays. The rest of the week (except Sunday) they are open 9am to 6pm, I think.

I will be attending Americare starting 9/13/2010 in fundamentals and pharmacology. So far my experience with them has been well. I will keep you all updated with my progress thru the program.:yeah:

Just wondering, if you go the part time route, how many days per week can you expect to be at clinicals or shcool?

I go full-time and I attend class 2 days a week and have 1 full day of clinicals.

Mzhart, thanks for the reply. That schedule sounds pretty doable actually. In order for me to go I would have take out a stafford loan and from what I've heard, the tuition is about 20k. Im not even sure stafford loans go up that high, you wouldnt happen to know would you?
