Any UTHSCSA Accelerated BSN 2016 hopefuls that have started the application process?

I am applying for the Accelerated Nursing BSN program at UTHSCSA starting May 2016. I just applied through NursingCAS, taking the TEAS V in November & hoping there are others out here doing the same! We can give each other some support and get through this process together, I haven't seen any other threads yet.....!

Hi everyone, I'm applying to the Accelerated BSN also. I took my TEAS mid September and scored a 91.3. I'm almost done with my application. I have a B.S. in biology.

So I took the TEAS 3 days ago and scored a 80. Don't know if that would be competitive enough to get me in or not. Already submitted my application. Just waiting on NursingCAS to verify and this semester to finish up.

Has anyone submitted a class that they said they would take in place of another? For example, they said they would count my Psychology Statistics instead of Elementary Statistics if I had more than 2, college algebra or higher, math courses. I'm worried my application may get overlooked because they wont see the required Elementary Statistics course.

I'm currently taking one class to replace another (algebra) along with a couple of other pre-req courses this semester. I'm getting a little nervous about sending transcripts in time etc. Did you have any problems uploading your residency questionnaire?

I believe as long as you have the required courses, or what they told you they would accept you won't be overlooked. If you have good TEAS scores & GPA you should be just fine.

I printed the residency forms & scanned them all as one PDF & it uploaded fine. When does your semester end? I'm understanding that you will need to send in updated transcripts for those classes but you may want to call UTHSCSA & verify that with them.

Does anyone know if we get a confirmation email or something after Dec.15 to let us know our application was received?

It's getting so close, very nerve-wracking!!

I got an e-mail from the SoN Admissions letting me know that they were still waiting on my TEAS. RLfutreRN, I would e-mail or call them if you feel antsy about it. They seem to be very friendly and helpful compared to some of the other nursing schools I have been applying to.

This waiting part is the worst. Hopefully the holidays will keep us preoccupied enough so we don't stress!

Yes, I got an email from UTHSCSA right after my last post confirming that they received everything and that we will all know by Feb.1. Let the waiting begin! I plan on working and doing everything I can not to think about it until then...

I'm also applying to UTHSCSA summer 2016 ABSN program. I submitted my application on October 6th through NursingCAS and I haven't received so much as a confirmation email from them to say they received my app... kind of strange. Not sure what I should do. Did you all receive any sort of confirmation?

Vivaciousjo, has NursingCas verified all of your transcripts yet? I received an email from the school once all of my stuff was verified & my TEAS scores were sent over to them. Once they are done verifying everything is automatically sent over to the school. Since it's so close to the 15th I would recommend you give the school a call if everything has been verified & you still haven't heard anything. They are very nice over at the school & will help you out. Good luck!!

hello, i am also applying.

i graduated with a degree in history in 2011 and was in med school until june this year.

i just finished 18 hours of pre reqs that i was missing today. however, i submitted my NursingCAS back in August O_O. I just had updated transcripts sent.

I haven't heard anything from UTHSCSA at all. My gpa is like 3.6 and teas was 88.7. I am afraid that i am missing something on my application, or they won't want me because i was a med student. O_O

I had to email them to ask if they received my app. They replied by the next business day.
