Any UTHSCSA Accelerated BSN 2016 hopefuls that have started the application process?

I am applying for the Accelerated Nursing BSN program at UTHSCSA starting May 2016. I just applied through NursingCAS, taking the TEAS V in November & hoping there are others out here doing the same! We can give each other some support and get through this process together, I haven't seen any other threads yet.....!

Hey everyone, I just found this post for UTHSCSA for this upcoming semester. And congrats to everyone that got in.

I was just wondering by the way, should I be worried about this nursing school's accreditation status because I have already accepted the admission

They missed the 80% pass rate by one student in 2015, so they're close. If their pass rate isn't 80% or better this year, then they go on Conditional Approval and wouldn't be allowed to admit any new students in 2017. If they don't bring up their pass rate in 2016 or 2017, then their accreditation may be at risk.

After speaking with some of the current ABSN and traditional students, I've decided to not attend this school. I'm going to look at other schools with higher NCLEX pass rates and a solid program/curriculum already in place. Good luck you guys!! Wish you all the best!!

Hello Everyone! Not sure if anyone still uses this page since y'all already have started your programs, but thought I'd give it a shot. I just applied for the Accelerated BSN program this December and am hoping to be accepted and start in May 2017. I have a couple questions I was hoping you may be able to help with.

1. I submitted everything online to NursingCAS and ordered my transcripts to be sent to NursingCAS over a week ago, but it still does not show that any of my transcripts have been received when I click the "check status" tab on my NursingCAS account. How long did it take for them to receive your transcripts and update your NursingCAS account? Should I be worried that it's been about a week and mine still are not marked as received?

2. How will I know what immunizations are needed and will I have time to get those taken care of if I wait to find out about being accepted first? Or should I start working on that right away just to be safe?

3. I wasn't aware of all these accreditation issues. Has the status improved or taken a turn for the better since last year? UTHSCSA is my first choice, but I would hate to get into the program to have it fall through after I sank my time and money into it.
