Any UCSF Mepn Applicants?

Hi everyone--

Has anyone else out there applied to the UCSF MEPN program? They're supposed to send out letters this month (December) for the interview process. Has anyone gotten a letter yet? Will those that aren't asked to the interview process get a rejection letter now?

I can almost see the UCSF nursing building from my apartment and wish I knew exactly when the oh-so-anticipated letters will be dispatched from there!

I'm a 3rd time MEPN applicant (gerontology) who has made it to the alternate list for the last two years, so I'm waiting to see if the third-time's-a-charm cliche proves true. Weeks normally fly by, but waiting for this letter invariably makes things move in slow motion!

I have a clear view of parnassus from my living room too - I am confident we will not hear diddly squat until the mail arrived on the 4th.

"Decisions were sent to the Registrar's office yesterday, so hopefully they'll be out in the mail today..."

The irony of all this is that we have a psycho postal worker --truly psycho, as in trampled my neighbor's garden, shouts at children, doesn't respond to conversation, rarely makes eye contact, and argues with the elderly --type postal worker.....so, chasing her down most likely will not fare too well. However, I am obsessing --took a big breath before opening the mailbox after work today. This is one of those high energy instances...something tells me, they will get here tomorrow.

Mail doesn't come until 5pm in my world, and we have a mailman who sometimes just... spaces out? Not sure.

I've got class in Berkeley until 4, then I'll drive home and let you guys know. Promise.
