Any UCSF Mepn Applicants?

Published

Hi everyone--

Has anyone else out there applied to the UCSF MEPN program? They're supposed to send out letters this month (December) for the interview process. Has anyone gotten a letter yet? Will those that aren't asked to the interview process get a rejection letter now?

Crossing my fingers...!

Happy Holidays everyone. If it's anyone who's going to receive the mail last (unless it's email), I would be that person. I live far far far away. Trying to focus on my A&P final this Thursday. I'd rather find out after my final. I don't want to be so excited or too disappointed. BTW, I have not started my Christmas shopping yet. My work has kept me busy. Congrats teenyjo. I was looking at Portland's prereqs after seeing your acceptance. It looks way harder to get into than UCSF.

I am thinking that this letter will come to us by Monday, considering mid December is this Saturday. Crossing my fingers. I have two trips to attend if I do get the invitation: one in Midwest America to see my family and the other to the "Yay" Area.

Hello,

I too applied for the MEPN program at UCSF. My specialty is midwifery and like doulalove and birthrevolution I am also a doula in the Bay Area. Good luck to everyone and don't stress out ^_^

ps: I haven't gotten the interview invitation yet, but I am awaiting patiently.

Hi guys

Been checking out the board for a while and since I'm anxiously awaiting my letter I thought I'd join the group. I'm a paramedic with experience dating back to when I started as an EMT in 2000. Did pretty well on the GRE, my grades are good (very good if you throw out one horrible year when I was 18), and I have some volunteer experience. I hope all of us make it in since everyone here seems to be a great candidate. Any wild predictions of my chances would be amusing and any other comments welcomed. Good luck to all!!!

veni, vidi, vadi

I wish! I'm almost there though. You're right - getting ready for the holidays is at least a good distraction from the anxiety. That and a Pathophysiology final exam on Thursday. :)

I do have good news - I found out today that I got into the University of Portland's alternate-entry Master's program. So that helps me relax a little. And hopefully it's a good omen for us all...

Hey that's awesome, teeny! ;)

Any good news to be had today? I just checked the mailbox - nothing's reached southern CA just yet... Oh the torture! :)

nope. not yet.

torture indeed. ugh. i think i'm giving myself an ulcer worrying about all of this! i did get an interview at UW, but instead of feeling relieved, I think that has added to the stress. I get worked up about things I have no control over, which, of course, is exactly WHY i shouldn't get worked up over them...

No letters today in SF (at least not at my house).

I'm in San Francisco and haven't received anything. I'll let you all know when I do!

I called and the lady said "Within a week a or two". Yikes! I won't be home.

A week or two? Seriously??

Do they not realize that plane tickets need to be purchased for those who do get interviews? That's cutting it a little too close...
