I am considering applying to UAB online either ANP or ACNP and was wondering if anyone could comment on the program? How do they like it? How much time committed per week? Full or part-time? Is the faculty readily available to help/answer questions? Also, I'm having a difficult time deciding between ANP or ACNP. Is it true that if you are ACNP you can sit for the ANP test as well? I'm leaning towards ANP, but have 8+ years in SICU, so thinking ACNP would be better suiting. However, I'm thinking about post-graduation and finding a job and having reasonable hours with no call. Anyone have any thoughts?
I agree that it's totally insane that we haven't heard anything yet. Classes start Aug. 16. It's frustrating to NOT know anything at this point. This means that those of us that get in have less than a month to get all financial aid paperwork, physical paperwork, and whatever else they require. This is in addition to our work and family responsibilities (children starting back to school, etc.)....
Someone else on another forum said she was told that some letters had already been mailed and that the rest should go out by the beginning of next week so if this is the case, we should be getting pretty close to the end of this wait. My wait nerve is about as frayed as it's gonna get at this point and my mailbox is about delapitated from me checking it constantly. I just hope all the stress and anxiety is worth it in the end for all of us. Then we can start the whirlwind process of trying to get everything completed in a very short time, but I think, if we can survive this wait, the rest should be a breeze in comparison.

Any other advice?? Do we get the medical clearance forms from the school, or do we bring copies of our physical?
