Any UAB NP students/graduates?

I am considering applying to UAB online either ANP or ACNP and was wondering if anyone could comment on the program? How do they like it? How much time committed per week? Full or part-time? Is the faculty readily available to help/answer questions? Also, I'm having a difficult time deciding between ANP or ACNP. Is it true that if you are ACNP you can sit for the ANP test as well? I'm leaning towards ANP, but have 8+ years in SICU, so thinking ACNP would be better suiting. However, I'm thinking about post-graduation and finding a job and having reasonable hours with no call. Anyone have any thoughts?

i am a UAB graduate FNP and loved the program i did all online it allowed me to work as well...

@Johnson0424, did you work full time? If so where? I am applying to UAB's RN-BSN-MSN for the Fall and was wondering what you thought of the school overall? Did you feel prepared? FNP is what I am interested in as well, but it seems to be very competive at UAB. Any advice, pointers or words of wisdom? Thanks

No,I didn't make the summer deadline...life is so hectic for me right now. I am still interested in their program. Are you at UAB or considering it?

HI-- Hoping you got a position by now? I have applied to the UAB ANP program for the same reason you did. I do not want to work with peds. However, it seems like all NP jobs willing to hire new grads are the FNP positions!! Where did you end up landing? Most of the ANP positions want 2 years experience.
