I am considering applying to UAB online either ANP or ACNP and was wondering if anyone could comment on the program? How do they like it? How much time committed per week? Full or part-time? Is the faculty readily available to help/answer questions? Also, I'm having a difficult time deciding between ANP or ACNP. Is it true that if you are ACNP you can sit for the ANP test as well? I'm leaning towards ANP, but have 8+ years in SICU, so thinking ACNP would be better suiting. However, I'm thinking about post-graduation and finding a job and having reasonable hours with no call. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hello Everyone,
I am still working on my BSN but I am considering whether to complete the FNP degree online or at a 'brick and mortar school'. Can anyone give me an insight into the quality of the curriculum at UAB and how does one handle clinicals when you live out of the state. Does anyone know of a college that places students into clinicals or how difficult is it to make these arrangements every semester?
Thanks
I was accepted into the ACNP program for Spring. I thought about transferring since UAB is cheaper than the school I currently attend but I decided against its. I want full time enrollment and UAB offered part time enrollment so it would add an additional year of school for me. Good luck to all of you!!
thanks lize!!! i was gonna start searching for a facebook group! where do you work in atl? my email is [email protected]. congrats on your acceptance!! maybe we can start an atl study group as well :)
