Any Study Suggestions--NCLEX RN?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Well.....I have been studying and studying---I did the ncsbn website, read Kaplan cover to cover twice, almost cover to cover of Saunders, medspublishing review course and website.......what else can I do to be sure that I am prepared? My friend said the NCLEX was the worst experience of her life (she passed though) and that the test was so hard because it covered things she didn't know. She didn't do much content review though--just questions. I have been doing both. Please give me your ideas and suggestions. Scared to test on 7/11:o

Congrats:yeah:.

I just took the NCLEX today and it was awful. I did so many questions and Kaplan before I took the exam, and I didn't think it helped at all. All I can say is know infection control. I also had a lot of SATA and prioritization, as in which patient would you see first and the answers were not very obvious at all. It was very hard. Definitely get your hands on a prioritization and delegation book.

Good luck kaylasmommy and welcome to the site.

congrats to everyone who passed :) I take boards in one week from today ahhhhhh!!! Doing kaplan, got a 58% on question trainer 6 doing 7 tomorrow... q bank in the 50's :( any other advice? been also reviewing content videos. Thanks for any advice!!!!

I used many sources -- Billings/Lippincott, ATI, Saunders, Frye, NCSBN. Did about 6,000-10,000 questions. Kaplan was helpful to me in terms practicing prioritization questions. Kaplan is a bit outdated. In my opinion a lot of their questions were about dumping syndrome. You need to cover different types, styles of questions and understand from the experts behind these nclex vendors the overall general theories they want you to know for the ncles. After completing many thousands of questions, you'll start to see a nice pattern and how these concepts are neatly intertwined. I didnt read any of the review books at all. I only answered questions on the computer.

If you think about it, you could easily do a thousand questions in a 1.5 weeks. Just do roughly 100 questions per day. That's about 2hrs of your day. 50questions/hr.

For most of the nursing students NCLEX-RN exam is a major stepping stone in the process of becoming a nurse. So they can prepare from http://www.nclexloopholestube.com nursing NCLEX RN review questions
