Hello,
I was just wondering if there were any SFCC RN grads or students out there that could give me some insight into the program? I have only heard great things. I have put in my application, but I hear that a lot of people don't get in the first try, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I already have my BS and applied to UF's accel BSN but did not make the cut. I really hope to get in at SFCC the first time around. Thanks to anyone who answers, its greatly appreciated!
If you were accepted what was your total points, if you don't mind saying?
When did you find out you were accepted? Was it earlier than what they told you?
How are the faculty?
When do you start clinicals?
Overall experience at SFCC program? I'm biased since I did get my AA from here.
Thanks again,
Monty78
Butterfly,
I'm sorry about your not getting in to those programs. Don't give up hope for the RN program yet. Lake City really prefers to accept their own students. Trust me, I too am very worried about not getting in, but I have to keep hoping. Even if I don't get in I will re-apply for next year.
Talk to you later,
Monty
Congrats, I got my letter on Saturday. Keep me in your prayers, they told me today they call students the first week of school, so hopefully I will take somebodys spot.
I hope you get in. I was place on the alternate list last yr and I did not get in. Maybe you will be lucky enough this time :)
Hi Girls,
I got in too. I'm so excited. I got my letter on Saturday. I tried to find this link to post something, but with the changes I couldn't find the darn thing.
Jenn,
Congrats on getting in! I'll be seeing you soon.
Butterfly,
At least you are on the alternate list. I'm sure someone will not be able to attend the program and you'll get the spot. Keep us posted. I don't know how many alternates they usually have, sorry.
See you later.

I graduated from Santa Fe in 2005. I was part of the Paramedic to RN Bridge Program so our points worked differently (our course was only a year)...but I can tell you to study hard and keep up with the reading. Most of the instructors are really good as they still actually practice nursing not just teach it. And for those of you who didn't get in, keep trying and for those worried about UF's program, don't, you'll get better experience from SFCC's program. I just got my BSN through UCF in April and I waiting to hear from Barry University in Miami, I just interviewed for their CRNA program.
Good Luck everyone.
