Well, my 3.43 and 88 didn't cut it. Big surprise, I know. ;-) So I am retaking PSY real fast this summer to get an A. Here's hoping a 3.69 is enough to cut it, though I'm not holding my breath. I bet passing the proverbial camel through the eye of a needle is easier than getting into NS.
Anyone else??
Yeah, I checked my card and its the one we need. Its from the American Heart Association, BLS for Healthcare Providers. So I'm covered there. @Hellonurse-That price for the titer seems kind of high! I could have swore that my friend told me she paid less than $100 for her titer and less than $200 for everything. I guess that I will find out when I go this week to get stuff done because its the last thing that I need. I have heard about the Littman's and that is what I'm planning to buy too.
I'm looking at getting the Littmann Classic ll S.E. and ordering it from allheart.com. I have a friend who gets hers from that site and has never had a problem, plus they have good deals.
I don't have and ipod, so no I won't be using one...lol!
I am getting very nervous and I know it will only get worse once its closer. I'm worried about taking care and spending time with my kids, getting housework done, and having time to study! I know of some people who quit doing anything that doesn't involve studying, but then I know some that don't have a problem with learning everything. I guess we will see once it begins!
I have an IPOD touch but how do I use it for nursing school?
CK,
I was absolutely crazy and took all the pre-req's over the summer 2010 semester so I could apply by September 15 2010. I some how managed to work, take care of 5 kids and keep a 4.0. This semester I am taking the rest of the co-req A&P II & LifeSpan and will take off Jan 2011 when I start nursing school and then when we are off in the summer I will finish up my co-req, Micro & Ethics. I would not recommend taking them all in 1 semester like I did, especially summer... It was hard.
Okay.. I have one more question for all of you who went thru this. On-line versus traditional classroom... does it matter? Is there one that's better or easier than the other? I'm already doing Micro Aps on-line and that's pretty easy. But I wasn't sure about Psych and Nutrition.
I want to make sure I learn the stuff and don't know if the on-line is going to do it?
Thanks,
CK

I was told yesterday by a RN friend of mine to spend the extra money on a Littman stethoscope because of the better quality of sound and it will last for years. I found them online for like $75.
I did my physical, titers, TB test, and shots at a walk-in/urgent care place here in Spring Hill and it cost me about $335. $209 for the titer alone, $45 for the physical, $45 for a tents shot, and $35 for the TB. I did the CPR at PHCC for like $60. Now I just have to wait for the card to get to me in the mail.
It hasn't been cheap but I think I am done with everything but buying the "gear" we will need. That has no wait till next month! :)
