Well, my 3.43 and 88 didn't cut it. Big surprise, I know. ;-) So I am retaking PSY real fast this summer to get an A. Here's hoping a 3.69 is enough to cut it, though I'm not holding my breath. I bet passing the proverbial camel through the eye of a needle is easier than getting into NS.
Anyone else??
Hello, I am new to this thread. I live in the Spring Hill area and I am really considering pursuing a nursing degree at PHCC for the August 2011 program. I am currently taking CNA classes because I need to start working now. I am deathly afraid of the entrance test. I did not even apply yet. They start taking applications March 1, 2011. In the mean time I will do more research. Can anyone help me with the process. How long dose it take after I submit my application to PHCC to get a response as to whether I am in or not? Which program should I apply to, the LPN or RN or both. I already have a degree in accounting but I am making this choice to change career paths for my family and overall happiness. All the good paying jobs are in Tampa or somewhere further and I have a 3 and a 4 year old. My husband works in Tampa and it takes him almost an hour to get home. I just can't be that far from my kids. Also we just moved here 3 years ago and I don't know anyone trustworthy enough to keep them. Working in the nursing field will give me a more flexible schedule and believe it or not, higher pay. What do you all think? I am really nervous, but excited at the same time. I really hope I get in and do well on the entrance exam. If anyone has any advice I sure would appreciate it.
Hello.
Welcome to Spring Hill. If you go onto PHCC website they have a section that will tell you what you need to do. First, you need all your pre-req classes taken. The semester just started yesterday so if you want to go in August you would need to take any classes you haven't done before. Also there is limited space so they go by your GPA and TEAS scores mainly. I would take a look at the website as it's pretty thorough in what you need. I hope my general answer helps. I'm not in the nursing program... yet.
