Any PHCC January 2011 applicants out there?

Published

Well, my 3.43 and 88 didn't cut it. Big surprise, I know. ;-) So I am retaking PSY real fast this summer to get an A. Here's hoping a 3.69 is enough to cut it, though I'm not holding my breath. I bet passing the proverbial camel through the eye of a needle is easier than getting into NS. :lol2:

Anyone else??

OK so 3 students plus 2 spouses. Not a bad start. I think we'll get a much better turnout if we can recruit people at the orientation. Maybe this Friday we'll hammer out the details for a post orientation meet so we can spread the word.

Yikes, I'm going to be the 5th wheel! Boo!!!!!

Tonight is the night! My wife and I will probably be there early. You can't miss me. I'm 6-2, 280 lbs, shaved head and a beard.

We will be there right before or right at 7. I have brown straight hair and my real name is Rebecca. My husband John has brown hair and glasses. We drive a trailblazer. Maybe we should tell the hostess we are the PHCC crew?!?!

Good idea. First one there tell the hostess we have a group with PHCC.

Orientation is coming up soon! Hopefully we'll get some more participation in this thread after that.

Hi All, I just found this thread. Im going into the RN program this Jan, and starting to get really nervous. I have everything on check list done, just waiting on the meeting on the 3rd. Sounds like some of you are in the same boat as me. Im a mother of 3 (10,7, and almost 2), and a wife of a firefighter. Not sure how Im going to balance it all, but it has to get done huh? I saw that a past class has made a fb page, maybe we could do something like that too. See you all soon!!!

also is anyone not buying textbooks from bookstore? I always have, but I was checking out textbooks.com. Does anyone know anything about it? Kinda nervous about buying them online.

Hello shefish,

I haven't bought anythong yet..., planning on getting everything after the orientation. I don't know anything about buying books online..., I was going to get them at the bookstore. However, if they're cheaper online, I would go for it as well.

I'm also going to wait until after orientation before I buy anything. I have bought some of my books online from amazon because they were cheaper than in the bookstore but not from any other sites. Hopefully after orientation we will have a better idea of everything we will exactly need.

Thanks for the Amazon tip Starviolet, I'll look into that as well :) I'm waiting with purchasing all the other stuff in case anything changes. Everything's pretty expensive, don't wanna get stuck with some items I don't need....

I know exactly what you mean! I'm a little overwhelmed at the cost of everything but I know it will all be worth it in the end.
