  1. Hello, I am a PHCC hopeful, but not for the Fall. I will apply whenever I get my pre-requisites done. I have just applied to PHCC and I have to take the PCT before I register. I am confident that I will be accepted into their nursing program because I am going to work my butt of and study HARD. I will get all A's and ace the TEAS. Gotta have a positive attitude. In any event. I wish you all the best.
  2. Hi all. I know some of these posts are very old, but I will be attending Loosendz CNA training course in 2 weeks. The program runs for 4 weeks (at night, 3 weeks if taken during the day) and they have someone come 7 days a week to administer the state test. I am pretty excited even though I have heard that this job is very hard physically and very hard mentally because some nurses don't respect CNA's and treat them harshly. This is just a stepping stone for me now until I complete nursing school at PHCC (I did not get in yet but I am hopeful).
  3. Thank you for your help CK73.
  4. Hello, I am new to this thread. I live in the Spring Hill area and I am really considering pursuing a nursing degree at PHCC for the August 2011 program. I am currently taking CNA classes because I need to start working now. I am deathly afraid of the entrance test. I did not even apply yet. They start taking applications March 1, 2011. In the mean time I will do more research. Can anyone help me with the process. How long dose it take after I submit my application to PHCC to get a response as to whether I am in or not? Which program should I apply to, the LPN or RN or both. I already have a degree in accounting but I am making this choice to change career paths for my family and overall happiness. All the good paying jobs are in Tampa or somewhere further and I have a 3 and a 4 year old. My husband works in Tampa and it takes him almost an hour to get home. I just can't be that far from my kids. Also we just moved here 3 years ago and I don't know anyone trustworthy enough to keep them. Working in the nursing field will give me a more flexible schedule and believe it or not, higher pay. What do you all think? I am really nervous, but excited at the same time. I really hope I get in and do well on the entrance exam. If anyone has any advice I sure would appreciate it.
