Hello, I am new to this thread. I live in the Spring Hill area and I am really considering pursuing a nursing degree at PHCC for the August 2011 program. I am currently taking CNA classes because I need to start working now. I am deathly afraid of the entrance test. I did not even apply yet. They start taking applications March 1, 2011. In the mean time I will do more research. Can anyone help me with the process. How long dose it take after I submit my application to PHCC to get a response as to whether I am in or not? Which program should I apply to, the LPN or RN or both. I already have a degree in accounting but I am making this choice to change career paths for my family and overall happiness. All the good paying jobs are in Tampa or somewhere further and I have a 3 and a 4 year old. My husband works in Tampa and it takes him almost an hour to get home. I just can't be that far from my kids. Also we just moved here 3 years ago and I don't know anyone trustworthy enough to keep them. Working in the nursing field will give me a more flexible schedule and believe it or not, higher pay. What do you all think? I am really nervous, but excited at the same time. I really hope I get in and do well on the entrance exam. If anyone has any advice I sure would appreciate it.
