I have read from some previous posts in prior years that the lottery is completed just days after the application deadline. I was actually expecting an e-mail yesterday (Friday) because it seems like results have always gone out then. Has anyone recieved an e-mail?

Thanks for resonding, USMC_los.
When did you recieve a letter from Chabot College? I applied to them as well and was also expecting not to hear from them for another month.

I also applied to Ohlone and have not received anything from then.
I received the letter on Saturday. You may receive something soon, it may just be a delay due to the mail cut off for the weekend. I'm thinking that most applicants will receive a notice this week.
1waitingimpatiently: Hey thanks for responding, I am sure we will likely hear something this week. Please let me know when you hear something..I will do the same.
USMC_los: Hey, thanks for responding again. I should have asked you this is my previous post...but were you accepted to Chabot? What was in the letter you receieved? If you were accepted would you mind posting your GPA? I had a 3.0 for my prereqs, and an A in English, I includeded documentation that I graduated High School and that I would need financial assistance during the program, and I actually repeated one of the prereqs which cost me 2 points. Chabots states that the top 120 applicants are then invited to take the TEAS ...but I really doubt with the 3.0 gpa I have that I made the cut off
Yes, the letter states that I made it into the top 120. Final decision will be made after the TEAS results are in. I have a 4.0 in prereqs, and I also got an A in English. My TEAS is not all that great, and that worries me. I scored a 74.7% on it, and there is a big difference between that and say 85 percent others may score. As long as you make the cut you have a good chance if you score well on the TEAS.

I just found out from Chabot that I wasn't accepted. The letter came today and stated that about 670 students had applied for admission and I was not chosen as one of the top 120 applicants. My GPA was not high enough to get in. Now I am dying to hear from the 1 other school I applied to. Ohlone should be e-mailing us all very soon....can't wait!!!
I'm so sorry to hear that, but I will keep my fingers crossed for you! The good thing about Ohlone is that the initial process usually eliminates many potential applicants. I am thinking that only about 200 made it into the lottery. At least that is what the counselor told me at my eval. So please don't quote me on that info.
Thanks USMC_los! I had my evauation in late March and Jack told me only about 200 were entering the lottery. If I don't get accepted to Ohlone I am going to apply this Fall to get into Mission College's LVN program, apparently at that school they have an LVN program and a LVN to RN program. So I'll get there eventually.
I received notice of my acceptance today. I won't be attending though. I'm going to CSUEB.
