Anyone heard anything about the waitlisted moving up?

My letter came in the mail yesterday and sadly I wasn't accepted. It was my first time and will be my last time applying to MJC because my GPA was just a 3.0 in the sciences and I am sure that wouldn't be good enough next year. Good luck to all!!!

Sorry to hear that Cab. Its 6:30 pm and my mom and I are confused as to why no mail has arrived at our home. We are gonna go talk to the neighbors.... UPDATE: At 6:44 pm the mailman came and delivered nothing from Modesto CC. :/

It is very frustrating..but I am sure we will all get into a school eventually. I am still waiting for the mailman, I am here in Oakland so I am sure when I hear some super loud music (coming out of earphones) that will be the signal that the mailman is here...

Can anyone tell me what the "Columbia Satellite" location is? I was just reading at Modesto CC's website that 10 students are choosen for that location and 73 study nursing at Modesto CC.

Hey sam7900!! I haven't heard anything about having better chances at Modesto C.C. if you are a previous applicant. What other schools (if any) have you applied to through out the years? This is my second year applying to nursing schools and it is frustrating. I currently live in Oakland and am hoping against hope I get into this school, it is the last school I waiting to hear back from for the next year.

Wow!! I am very surprised that there is still no word yet. Orientation is on the 12th of August too.

Hey! I completed all my prerequisites while on unemployment. Just do not report this to EDD because they would most likely not allow you to collect while going to nursing school. :)

Hello everyone. I thought I would start a discussion on the application cycle for Modesto Junior College's ADN program. I called the nursing department about 3 weeks ago and was told that they are anticipating some 800 applicants and that they expect to have letters sent out no later then August 1st. This is the last school I waiting to hear back from and the anticipation is killing me! I was just recently laid off from my job and am holding off on going back to work until I find out the results. How is everyone else holding up?

Does anyone have any idea how many seats are available for the entire year and how many people are typically included in the lottery each year?

Does anyone know a little history about the waitlist process.? I am number 25 out of 56 on the waitlist. On the overall lottery list I am number 69. I thought that last year it was said at the general nursing meeting that a spot was offered up to number 80 that year, and that is usually the highest it goes. But when I met with counselor Jack this year I believe he said they only went up to number 60 this year. Does anyone have a little insight? It would be greatly appreciated. :***:
