Any Miami Dade College students going for the acceler. or Generic option fall 2009?

I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.

I think it's safe to say they are waiting till June 20th.

In the 1st batch of Generic Full-Time Orientation letters, it states "Please return the enclosed RESPONSE FORM to us by June 19, 2009 to reserve your seat. If you are unable to attend the orientation, but still wish to begin the program, you must notify xxxxxxxxx at xxxxxxx no later than June 19, 2009. She will assist you with an alternative plan for orientation. Please, let us know if you plan to attend. If we do not hear from you by June 19, 2009, your space will be given to another applicant"

Therefore, it would be safe to assume that after the 19th the 2nd batch of letters will go out. Plus, a $100 non-refundable deposit is also required by said date.

Same here I called yesturday but was told that all the letters have been sent... I dont know if i should belive them anymore... I have herd that the GPA for acceperated is always lower than that of the generic option but who knows this semester has been weird... I guess no news is good news :confused: (except if that white envelope takes longer than the yellow 1)

Those who are waiting for the letter, don't lose hope. Keep in mind, they are on their first batch. Those people who received the letter might change their mind and who knows, you might have a chance. Keep the faith.

Hi MOMMY'S GIRL! I just got my acceptance letter for the part time generic!!!! I cant believe it! I already paid the 100 to reserve my seat, faxed in the acceptance and receipts (but Im going down there tomorrow to turn it in IN PERSON JUST IN CASE), my background and physical is tomorrow, and we will be in orientation next week! WHAT A WHIRLWIND!

Are you in the Full time or the Part time program...I need to make friends in the program. There is only 1 other friend of mine that I know of who was admitted to any of the programs...
