Any Miami Dade College students going for the acceler. or Generic option fall 2009?

I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.

Yeah that's what it seems like and from the looks of it I better play the lottery cause I have more chances on hitting the lottery than getting into the program. Even if my GPA is a 3.53 ..................I will still keep some hope some where .......I did speak with an advisor and she said they take the VERY highest GPA for the part time generic program. I still pray for ALL OF US though because we have not been rejected or denied. And we still need to think positive.............but this is all i think about i lost focus of all else ::))

30NCN: When did you start loosing hope? Where have I been when you began to get discouraged? Your GPA is very good. I don't understand why Miami Dade has students feeling like 3.53 is not good enough. That is worst than the wait. I will keep you in prayer. You will do find. Anyway we will know something by next Friday, at least the minimum gpa.

Did any one call today? Are they more friendly if I call the nursing program directly, b/c the receptionist in the advisment office always seems frustrated when I go in and here them answering calls? I rec'v the same email of rejection for financial assistance due to bachelors degree!

well I didn't get any financial aid e-mail. But I paid all my classes so I don't know if that will make any difference at all. Don't make me nervous please:hdvwl:

don’t worry i called the financial aid department and it’s just because we have a bachelors degree and we don't qualify for aid just loans. the financial aid lady has no idea who has been accepted (i asked).:eek:

That just made me laugh so loud. I can't believe you asked the financial aid lady who was accepted. That's cute maybe I should ask the janitor.. LOL!!!! Olofin1, you said you paid for all of your classes? Does that mean that you are taking pre-reqs this summer?
