Any info on ny hosp queens??

I was just hired at New York Hospital Queens and wanted to know if anyone could give me some info on the hospital? How's the staff, orientation, working environment? Thanks in advance!

Anyone have up-to-date information on what it is like to work at NYHQ? Perhaps what is the nurse-satisfaction? RN-Pt ratio? The interview process? Please update if you have info- on the med I, and of course many others, would GREATLY appreciate any advice/information!!!

I am currently considering employment for this hospital. I am studying now for the exams. if anyone has any updated info on the hospital and exams that would be great.

They never have any postings though. I have no idea how to even get in there.

I last applied to NYHQ in February, before I got my job offer at an NYC HHC hospital. I had applied via email, via fax and via online. They do post jobs on their website however they specify they want RNs with 3 or more years experience working in a hospital. I applied anyway but of course never heard back as I did not have hospital job experience then. I also know of 2 or 3 new grads that got in at NYHQ by one of their professors giving Recruitment their resume. So if no experience or connections for new grad then no job interview.

I was just wondering which HHC hospital you are working at? What were the interview questions like? Did you have to take a med calc exam? I am interviewing for HHC hospital and don't know what to study please help!

I luckily knew someone and was able to meet the recruiter. Unfortunately even though I applied to many postings I did not hear back until I had a contact...
