Any hospital hiring new grads? anywhere in the country?

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Does anyone know of any hospital that are currently hiring new grads without any experience? I graduated May '09, and it's so hard finding a job without experience. Thanks.

I moved to Lubbock, TX after searching for a year. I applied and got a call the next day. They even paid to move us here!

How long have you been working there?

Do you like the area?

Is there more than 1 hospital there?

I'm also looking to relocate after graduation.

Thanks!

I started April 4th. It's not too bad, I came from Denver so it is hard being away from the mountains. It is exciting to see a different area of the country and many cities near to visit. It has definitely been worth it to get experience though, I still know of people searching for jobs after nearly 2 years! I'm going to transfer next summer and get more experience in a different area and then we will be looking to move back to Colorado. I work for Covenant and there is another hospital (UMC) in the city. Any other questions just let me know!

Thanks for the info. I just applied to a job there! Do you like the hospital and the staff? Are they supportive of new grads?

Yeah I really like the hospital and the staff. I'm having a good experience being a new grad, learning a ton everyday! Did you apply to the NICU? That is my dream job, I had an interview there when I first came down ( I had 4 interviews) and that is the only one I felt I did horribly :(. Going to try to transfer there next spring/summer!

I got an e-mail from Lehigh Valley (in PA) about 3 weeks ago. They are hiring! Florida Hospital is also hiring, but I hear nurse to patient ratios aren't that great in Florida.

I did apply to a job in the NICU. its for a RN II but you never know. I do not want to move out of california, but at this point, i know i need to pursue all options. Thanks for the tips!

Did you apply for the GN jobs? Do you possess an ADN or BSN?

Thanks for all the useful information!

Hello all,

I am based in Las Vegas NV. I have been applying for rn jobs for months now, but was unable to get any single interview. Do you know any hospital, clinics or any medical company that hires new grads?

thank you for your help.

 I just heard about many jobs in Williston, North Dakota. There are not many places to live but there are lots of jobs.

thank you greytRNtobe! As much as possible I would like to stay in vegas. I am giving myself till next year to find a job. if none, then there's no other option but to relocate. There are just a ton of things to consider when relocating. I do hope I'll be able to find a job here in vegas, I will take even volunteer opportunities!
