Any GCC Students?

Just found out Tuesday I am starting Nursing School in January at GCC. I have been going there for 3 years getting my pre req's out of the way and finally starting Nursing School. How do we find out our class schedule?

Oh man, that is almost criminal. We turn them in and they sell them for 5 bucks? :chuckle Maybe I would get more satisfaction by burning them :rotfl: BTW, I recommend getting 2 sets - you don't want to be doing laundry on clinical days.

I am doing my 4th block preceptorship over at Arrowhead ICU. I am really loving ICU. I have 4 more 12 hour shifts and I am free and clear of nursing school!

Congratulations Lu Ann! I can't wait to be writing the same post in 2 years! Does this mean that you are finished with classes? No finals or anything else?

Finals done After finals in block 4 you do your preceptorship. Our classes ended 11/4. Hang in there you guys......time goes quickly in nursing school :) :) :) :)

Next week I will be done with my preceptorship but I have to work 4 12 hour shifts in a row. That's going to be rough - but I really like it there in the Arrowhead ICU!

My cell phone isnt working and i have a new one on the way, so if you want to call use the home phone.. i called my voicemail and just got your message today =( The screen on my phone doesnt work so i can still call in to get my vm but i have just kept the phone off

I just ordered the Cardiology III and some socks off of allheart i had the steth engraved too Just in case...

I have to call my DOC office and get that new form signed soon have you done that yet?

Hey girl, good to hear from you. I started getting a little worried b/c I know you would of called me back right away. No, I still haven't even bought all by books. I am still waiting for the gcc bookstore to getthe boxes. I am planning on goign on Wednesday to my doctors to get the papers signed. Have you bought anything else? When are you planning on buying your scrubs? Everything is so expensive, I hate it. Anyways, my final paper is due next Monday so I've just been busy working on that. I call you on your home phone when I get a chance, Work has been crazy too.

i bought the LIfeDrive pda i need to download the programs still... and today i ordered the cardiology III and had it engraved so im hoping to get that before christmas, it will BE my christmas LOL

I also ordered some of the support socks on allheart they are cute they have like paisley prints and i just got them in blackwhite and blue. They are only 6.95 when you buy two. The other day i went to a scrub store and bought some merrel shoes the slip ons with a heal and wore them to work saturday night...they are NICE. I also bought the crock clogs from the same store and these are the ones that dont have the holes and they are so lightweight I love them!

i will wear those to work probably when i go on tuesday night.

Well I just called and left you a message.

I went online to see if efollet had the ISBN numbers and they didnt....grrr

Hey girl, sorry I haven't called you back. I was at work all day and then I have class tonight till 8:30pm. I had a question toask you,... you know the nurses drug guide book that we had to buy, well what edition is it suppose to be? I bought the 9th edition b/c thats the only edition I found at the gcc bookstore and the bookstore across from gcc.

thats good, now I don't feel left out. I was worried that I had bought the wrong edition.Anyways, what are you doing on Wednesday? Maybe we can try meeting up agian, if your free in the afternoon anytime before 4:00pm. Maybe we can go have lunch together or something

i dont know about wednesday because i work midnight to 8am wed and thurs so i might be sleeping most of that day LOL . I think the ninth ed is what was on the list because i didnt buy anything that wasnt the EXACT same ed as the list....

Yup, I have the same classes you do. yupee!!! I guess this means we are stuck with eachother for a whole semester. hee hee. I 'm so excited, I can't wait to start nursing school.
