Any chance the Pearson Vue Trick is wrong?

  1. What did you get when you tried the Pearson Vue Trick? Did you pass NCLEX?

So yesterday I took the NCLEX and got all 265 questions. Pretty sure I felt like I had failed which from what I've gathered so has everyone else. I had about 50 select all that apply (yes I actually counted) and my questions were truly hard! I studied using Kaplan and was averaging 50-67% on the Qbank and trainer tests. Just to clear things up even more I currently work as a PSA at a hospital and have already been hired on my floor contingent on passing NCLEX. So you can see how devastated I was when I got home and tried the Pearson Vue trick and got the "results on hold" messages. I tried for the rest of the evening and still the same response. I read online that seeing the on hold message isn't always bad it just means you might have finished too quickly, your background check seems suspicious, or the palm scanner didn't match up (which did happen during one of my breaks). Today I tried the PVT and was lead to the credit card page. I am balling my eyes out feeling like a failure. To make it even worse I can't retake the test til October 5th which is when I was planning on going to Europe for a week. So my question is: is there any chance the Pearson Vue Trick is wrong? Anyone out there thought they failed using PVT but they didn't?

Here is a 2014 thread with a poll asking something similar.

I read through that one and no one has posted about getting the CC page and passing. Guessing that I really must have failed then...

There have been a few posters who said they got cc and then passed. Really best option is to wait for official results

The problem with this trick is how it is performed. There needs to be screen shots of each step of the process for people to follow. I believe that some people didn't perform the trick properly and either got a false "pass" or a false "fail". You need to go through the entire process where it asks for you to enter your credit card number. Stopping before that point will result in an inconclusive "trick". The trick has to be nearly 100% accurate (yes there can be glitches in the system) because Pearson Vue does not want to allow you to be able to be charged for another test if you have passed. That will result in the hassle of refunding your fee so they have built into the system to not allow you to complete another registration if you have passed. They proctor thousands of tests per day from numerous different professions. If every test taker that believed that they failed, but actually passed, were allowed to pay for another test, they would need a team of people to just handle the refunds.

I've read from many people that they believed they failed when they got to the CC machine only to receive a letter that they passed so there is still that possibility.

One of my classmates got the cc page and passed. False failures are more common than false passes.

I got 85 questions before the test shut down. I was certain I failed. I got so many 'put this in order' questions, select all that apply, and truly difficult questions. At one point, I got six select all that apply question in a row! I just knew I bombed it.

I tried the trick, got to the CC page, input my number, but it would not process my card. The next morning I checked the BON website, and my license had already been issued, complete with number. I don't know what the other screens look like (and it was a few years back), so I can't offer any more than my own experience.

Your best bet is to wait for your official results. No system is 100% perfect. I know the anxiety of waiting is heavy. Best of luck to you!

May be a dumb question, but I can't figure out how to vote on the poll??
