Dose anyone know how to go about finding clinical placement? I have been calling NPs and docs in my area for months trying to find someone that would take me on as a student. I leave messages they NEVER call me back or they already have students. It is down to the wire now. I am supposed to start clinicals in January and I am running out of options. any advice would be great.

I always got the best responses when I went in person, even if you get rejected you can usually get a lead on where to look next.

Use your acquaintances.. For my Pedi I used an NP in my hospital, for my OB/GYN I used my own OB office NP for Primary care and Specialty I just made some cold calls and asked to speak with the office manager and then basically pleaded my case...it worked twice.

Use your state's professional association.
Use your contacts from nursing or from nursing school.
Go in person to offices.
Ask your school for help.

Like froggg123 said go in person. I did this and even though they said no they gave me somewhere else to go and their names opened doors. Also go with a packet with your school requirements and a resume. Also have emails and numbers of important school officials that could answer questions you cannot answer.
