Anxiously Waiting.........

So, I just finished the final part of the application process for the LPN program that is to begin this August. I've took all the tests (i.e. NET and ASSET [you have to take them both to be able to apply to the LPN program at Arkansas state university] ), i've gotten all of the necessary shots and TB skin tests, sent in my transcripts, etc. now the WAIT begins. The good news is that the acceptance letters will be sent out on June 2nd which is less than a wk away but the bad news is that im so nervous that i cant even think straight!:eek: I've always wanted 2 b anurse but never thought that i was smart enough to get into a nursing program but this time i just decided to go for it! So now the wait is on and i hope that i dont have a heartattack from the stress of waiting b4 i find out if i got in or not!:redbeathe For me waiting has been the worst part of this whole experience and I havent even waited a full 24 hours yet! i REALLY, REALLY hope i get in. I put my heart and soul into this thing and if i get in then my lifelong dream of becoming a nurse would be well on it's way to becoming realized and i would be in a stable profession in this unstable economy. I guess i just needed to vent, ya'll!:typing P.S. Any prayers (I am a God-fearing,believing in the ressurection of Jesus, Christian) would definetely be appreciated!

Good luck! You're definitely not alone in the waiting game. I'm getting ready to turn in my app to my number one choice so I will be joining you in the waiting experience. It sounds like you're on your way to achieving your passions, goals and dreams. I wish you nothing but good thoughts and great outcomes..

It's easier to have forums like this site to act as support systems for one another. I find that other pre-nursing individuals can empathize and relate more than those that are not going through the same thing. HAPPY THOUGHTS FOR YOU!

UPDATE: I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!:D God is sooo good! IM SO EXCITED. I'm a little nervous about it though. Orientation is June 17th, cant wait. Although i must say that i was a little surprised when i saw all of the stuff that i have to pay 4. I have to buy , i guess that makes sense. So can anyone tell me what happens in orientations? The letter said it starts @ 830 am and we will be in there all day.

Congrats, Ms. Optimistic!!!!:yeah: The feeling of getting that letter is indescribeable, isn't it? I'm in the same boat as you, I have an orientation on July 21 , but have no idea what to expect. Perhaps someone will post soon to give us some idea.

Yes it is VERY indescribalble! It felt like i had just lost about 50 lbs when i read "This letter is to inform u that u have been selected......" b/c the wait was excrutiating for me (even though i only waited a week).I was so happy that I wanted to turn a flip but the neighbors would have thought i was crazy! LOL! anyway, CONGRATULATIONS 2 U!!!!!!!:yeah:!!!!!!!! I'm sure ur gonna be an excellent nurse!
