Antelope Valley College Spring 2016

Published

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to the nursing program at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster. I just wanted to see if anyone else has applied yet. Hopefully we see how this goes.

Lol you're welcome!! I'm pretty sure they hate me in the office because I asked so many questions :p I just don't wanna be so out of the loop, it's not fair!!!

It's hard though because I feel like if you want to know something you have to ask. Like the cut off date for the old requirements etc. I would call all the times before I put my application in. Lol but it's good to ask questions!

When did you apply? Sorry if you already told us, my mind is mush these days due to being sick & writing tons of papers for Ethics/Logic.. Ugh.

I applied last December. Before the cut off date for the new requirements. But I didn't make it to fall because I didn't take stats in time.

Are you in philosophy 105 right now?

Oh okay so you've waiting about as long as I have.. I had to take stat over intercession. Yeah I'm taking Phil 105 right now just for an elective to get my Bachelors afterwards.. I took Phil 110 & Comm101 last semester

I took Phil 105 a while ago because that was the original requirement. I also took 103 for Comm. But if I get in the spring I won't have to take 101. Fingers crossed because I'm afraid of public speaking lol. But I can totally talk to anyone I meet. I've also taken classes for my bachelors. I think I just need a political science class.

Lol I'm the same way but in all honesty it's not that bad.. If you have to take it, take Samantha Garaliango( I think that's how you speed her last name) she's so nice & makes the setting really comfortable to be in.. Take Lena Coleman for poli sci, she's easy lol

I love when people give me recommendations of teachers to take! Haha thank you! Any other classes you need? For your GE or bachelors?

Lol you're welcome!! I just have a area C elective to take & then I'll be completely done with everything.

Doesn't a language count in that area?

Yeah, I'm actually thinking about taking Spanish or another music class.. Just something light & fun
