Antelope Valley College Spring 2016

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to the nursing program at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster. I just wanted to see if anyone else has applied yet. Hopefully we see how this goes.

Oh goodness yes!! Lol I mean I don't have a crazy social life now but it's gonna be hard to tell ppl no I have to study or whatever when they want to do anything lol.. I'm so ready for it though, I'm more anxious than anything! & I definitely agree with the making friend early, I pretty sure we all become like family ☺️

Idk if it's all the blood work, & shots I got on Friday but last night it hit me that it's November lol I started getting like excited/sad if that's even possible idk? Hopefully we start hearing something soon!!!

Blood work and shots?! Are you okay? And I know I have the same feelings, excited, nervous and anxious. Fingers crossed.

OH yeah I'm fine! Just annual physical & I had to get a tdap, flu & TB test.. Ughh lol do you know other ppl who might get in spring too?

No, I only know people who are eligible for the fall. I wish I did haha. Do you?! And is that what we need to do for the nursing program?

I don't :/ only you guys!! I was just wondering cuz I found out about letters for fall 2015 from ppl in my classes..

i think the physical for the program is slightly different & there's forms your doctor has to sign or something.. But yes, we need TB, flu & updated tdap if you haven't had it for over 10years.. & then immunity test for the other vaccines like mmr, hep B & chicken pox..

Oh geez I haven't had any of that done. I just remember the immunization a from being in school lol. But I'll get it taken care of. Do they give you a form or something to let you know what you need? And yeah at least we have each other right now. Otherwise we have fall lol.

Yeah there's a bunch of deadlines & forms in the packet that comes with the letters.. I haven't had my immunity stuff done yet cuz idk for sure what they need. But I knew I hadn't had my tdap since high school & the other 2 I get done yearly just because :)

i know right?! I'm thinking well all get into together if not in spring so which ever way it goes I feel okay lol
