  1. Nrodriquez27!!! Make sure you get your vaccines ASAP!! Some have to be separated by 4-6 weeks depending on the series! The cut off for the physical is January 11th! If I read it correctly you said you weren't immune. If you are disregard my message lol. :) but the sooner the better!
  2. Okay, so I got CPR certified yesterday. And I absolutely loved my instructor! And I was the only one who signed up so it was just her and I! She was so helpful! It was a pretty long class though! 3 hours. I did have questions, and she let me practice as much as I needed too! But by the end of it I had fun! How's everyone doing for finals week?! Hopefully surviving!
  3. That looks awesome! Definitely going to enjoy that! Also, we get an SI leader in the nursing program?!? í ½í¸
  4. You're right! I like that advice! Thanks! ☺️ Also, is allheart.com working for anyone? It still won't work for me!
  5. Yeah if you got the titers it's fine! Just like if you have the yellow card for your immunization. Those couldn't be more than 5 years old! Lol but if you had titers done it's all good! Lol and I'm going to just go tomorrow! It's just cutting it close for work! But it'll be good to get it out of the way!
  6. Yes the titers check your immunity levels! They said the vaccincines had to be no more than 5 years old.
  7. My only vaccine issue was the chicken pox. I never had them because I got the vaccine as a baby but they didn't know it needed a 20 year booster. Also. I have to reschedule my CPR class because I work. If anyone is willing to do the 50 dollar one in east Palmdale I'll wait. If so can you comment with the day after you are available then we can narrow down a day a time! Thanks! ☺️ If not it's okay too lol
  8. No its not through UAV. it's a place on the east side of Palmdale. I found it on the AHA website. You need a certain one. Life sustaining or something like that. The lady knew the difference lol. And make sure you do your physicals because one of the vaccines I needed HAD to be separated by a minimum of 4 weeks. Make sure you read over the paperwork so that they didn't miss anything. It's VERY important. A lot of stuff is time sensitive. I got my results back within 3 days of my blood/urine samples being taken though.
  9. Yes they do! I think she said they are there 4 times a week. I just wanted to get it done before the holidays lol.
  10. Hey everyone! I'm taking a CPR class on Monday the 7th of December! It's only $50. It's around 2.5 hours. They are AHA certified and it starts around 9am. If anyone is interested!
  11. Okay! Yeah I'm all done too! I'm allergic to eggs, so the risk of an intramuscular flu vaccine was sketchy but I had a .01 chance of reaction lol. Glad that's all done though! I need to buy my books and supplies! I'm excited though!
  12. Is AVU American heart association certified?! And I just had my physical Friday. Got my flu vaccine and varcilla vaccine today! So I'm all done! Anyone else have to get vaccines or anything?!
  13. Oh I'm not sure, we probably don't need a specific one. Do you know how much they cost?!
  14. Hey guys! I made a Facebook page! It's inder AVC Nursing Fall 2017, I thought it would be a good way to get to know everyone and to post there and stuff! Feel free to join!! Krissy I already added you! Lol
