Antelope Valley College Spring 2016

Published

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to the nursing program at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster. I just wanted to see if anyone else has applied yet. Hopefully we see how this goes.

I took Spanish! Danny Young was a great teacher! Really understanding if Spanish isn't your second language lol. But it was a fun class!

Oh okay, cool! I'll have to look up his class on the schedule. I'm gonna take it if I don't get into the program.

Does anyone recommended anyone for Psy236?

I took Julie Jacobson.. She's great!! She's a "seasonal" instructor tho so she doesn't teach every semester :/

I loved her I had her for psych 101. But I have Rebecca Kutlzer or something like that. VERY EASY. You have a quiz every class on the notes you had last class which she give the option to print out and bring to class. We go over our quizzes right after and the quiz questions are your mid term and your final. One paper. And she's nice and funny and tells good stories.

omg! would it be really weird to say that i know Tara too? I didn't realize the nursing community is smaller than i thought! But I have nothing left to take anymore so im just waiting! I really hope we get accepted soon because i really don't know what to do anymore! Im tired of waiting and waiting lol. I want to move up in life already!

Oh and i also took Rebecca Kutlzer shes really great. I had her night class and MOST days i was awake becuase she's very interesting to listen to and really had great stories! Just study the powerpoints and youll be fine!

Lol the nursing community out here is tiny :p it's so fun to hear from you guys & other students about how they're feeling, or what classes they need/already taken. Everyone is so different but we're all like friendly, caring ppl lol

I know! And if we all got in at the same time we already have a study group formed! Haha we are almost done with October guys! November is almost here!

Haha so true! Woohoo!! Day light saving is on Sunday too!!

Is anyone as nervous as I am that the nursing program will be super hard and that we'll have no idea what we are doing? Haha

Oh as excited as I am, im terrified :zombie:!!!! Its a really hard program and i dont see any of my friends who are in it anymore because they are SO busy. The amount of memorizing, reading, practicing, ...etc can make anyone go mad! Many people drop out too before the 2 years are finished. But this why it is important to form friends early on so we can all lean on each other because no one can get through the program alone. I know it wont be easy but I'm determined
