A client is receiving fluid replacement with Lactated Ringer's after 40% of his body was burned 10 hours ago. The assessment reveals: temperature 36.2° C; heart rate 122; blood pressure 84/42; CVP 2 mm Hg; and urine output 25 ml for the last 2 hours. The IV rate is currently at 375 ml/hr. Ok, I thought this forum was for informative help for those with questions! Not to judge, or question people about there question. If you don't want to answer the question or you feel a certain way about the question asked, then don't answer it! You people make others feel like they can't ask things without getting ridiculed! She needed help, so if you can't help her, don't respond!
Not that Esme and GrnTea need to be defended, but they spend a considerable amount of their time helping students with their homework. As been stated by them and many others in the Student Assistance forum: We will be happy to help with the homework, but you need to show what your thoughts are about the problem or care plan. You can't just post your question and expect us to do the work for you.
GrnTea was being just a little judgmental. But, there have been many students post their homework and want us to do it for them. When they don't get the answer without doing any work, they disappear. Esme practically gave her the answer.
As students critical thinking is being hammered into our brains...we should not be handed down answers. I have not even done advance stuff yet and even I could figure at least that firstly the person is in shock and secondly a burn victim will need some sort of fluids. The provided answers either increase fluids or just make it worse.
