  1. You can hide both by clicking on them
  2. You said you were memorizing questions online, enabling you to pass, making it sound like you were using test bank questions... I'm a little confused that you originally start by describing yourself as a student not nearly ready to be a nurse. Once you get advice you are trying to say you only have problems in MS, but you barely passed pharm and fundamentals, have minimal skills, and you have little understanding of MS. You cant call another nurse when your maternity patient has a MS based problem, they over lap. You are not ready to be a nurse! The reality is you cheated yourself by trying to fake your way through school, and I definitely don't want that kind of nurse for my family. On the small chance you pass your boards, you are going to be a danger to your patients. Plus, you will make a mistake that can lead to legal consequences. The best advice at this point is to go through another program. You may be able to look into nurse refresher courses, but I don't know if they will take you. It will be really difficult to pull out the books and try to learn nursing on your own.
  3. Make sure you know your rhythms and treatments. I like the following http://medicine.iu.edu/residents/index.php/download_file/view/416/94/ if it doesn't open google Indiana university acls study guide. The class teaches you how to work as a team and reviews some of the advanced skills. If you know the acls guidelines, you will be fine.
  4. With so many nursing students already unemployed and more graduating all of the time, BSN seems to have an advantage in the job market. In saying that, I think it really depends on the area you live in and if you are willing to move for a job. If you can do the BSN, then you may have an easier time finding a job, but either way it really comes down to the people you know and impress.
  5. But do you want to be just a 3.0 student when advanced practice programs are becoming more competitive? Especially for a good program?
  6. The Versant residency program advocates for starting new grads with new nurses. The reasoning being that new nurses understand and remember what it was like for them
  7. 18 weeks through Versant
  8. A friend of mine has a similar issue with an arrest from 15 years ago. She even sent all the ppw to the CA BRN. She was told they need more, but it will work out. Cali says an enforcement delay puts your application back 1-2 months
  9. I would suggest not spending a lot of money on a bag. They really get beat up in nursing school! Some people I went to school with swear by a rolling suitcase or a toolbag. I have a small backup I take to work.
  10. Thanks for sharing!! Kids can definitely be cruel, especially high school!
  11. Just giving the OP the answer is doing a dis service. The other posters just wanted to know what her thought process was. Having someone else give you answers without doing any of the work yourself is cheating and a loss of a learning opportunity
  12. First of all, things are never going to go as planned all of the time. Nursing is a world of improv :) call the manager. Persistence is key
  13. I was agreeing with you
