hello...I failed nclex and passed 2nd time... this is what i did.. I answered 200 questions each day and review rationale each question even though i got it right... if u think u dont understand the question write down the rationale!!!! to memorize I used lots of references/books saunder and hurst =really good for contents..i didnt take hurst class cuz i know im good at contents...i just read their books and memorized info from HURsT!!!! kaplan=i did take this class... and answered all the questions and review every day!!!! i thought it was very helpful cuz iam bad at critical thinking (take this class if u think u need help on crtical thinking) exam cram=this book......if u have time... use it... PRIORITYT DELEGATION ASSESSMENT=THIS BOOK I RECOMMEND....IF U DONT HAVE TIME JUST DO PART 1 ...PART 2 IS JUST CASE STUDY dont give up...i know how u feel...take a week off (i didnt do nething for a week...just enjoyed my freedom)

I studied....6-8hrs/day... three months... :)

hello all!! I just checked my result last night ...(I thought I failed for sure) but I passed 2nd time!!! first time when I failed....I had 130 questions... (I knew I failed ...) second time I took it...I had 105 questions (20 SATA, 2 math, and I had lots of priority questions....soooo HARD..I thought I failed for sure...) anyways.... here some tips ... 1. DO 200 questions per day (normally they recommend 100 questions per day..but I did 200 questions everyday)...if you miss questions..make sure you read the explanation and WRITE IT DOWN!!! WRITE WRITE WRITE IT DOWN so you won't forget! if you still don't understand..THEN research or read other review book until you understand it 100 percent!!!! 2. start with content area.... I did not take Hurst...I just borrowed Hurst book from my friend..and reviewed it (again..if I did not understand something..I did research or read other review books until I understood 100 percent!!!) I recommend you to buy SAUNDER's book..(it also comes with question CD..) IT IS GREAT FOR content area BUT NOT GREAT FOR critical thinking... make sure you do some questions from CD (HAS lots of questions!!!) 3. I did take KAPLAN class...I strongly recommend you to take Kaplan class it teaches you HOW TO do solve critical thinking questions (when I took it first time and failed..I KNEW I had to take kaplan class cuz...I was just soo bad at critical thinking) it comes with Question trainers and question bank I did 200 questions each day and..and reviewed everyday! (I know lots of work!) I got 62 on my readiness test 65 percent..on my question bank 4. Prioritization, delegation, and assignment - this book is GREAT too (I just did PART I not part II=case study) ....it helped me think/learn about what to delegate and what not to delegate to LPN or nursing assistant 5. EXAM CRAM- if you have time... I will recommend you to do this book too just for more practice English is not my first language.. so my instructor always told me that NCLEX is going to be really really really really hard for me... When I failed...first time..I thought... becoming a nurse is a dream... but I MADE IT!!! JUST KEEP studying DO NOT STOP just keep studying... if you are stressed out..go out to walk or get a coffee BUT DO NOT STOP STUDYING!!!! If I can do it..everyone can do it too!! good luck...everyone

hey you guys SO i took my nclex aug 3 and failed... not it is aug 18...still did not receive official result I want to reapply but..I cant...bc i did not receive official result yet... some said they got it within a week my roomate told me it took her four weeks to get an official result? Do you guys think I should call nursing board and tell them I need official result and need to reapply since i failed??? ( sooo frustrating!!!! ugh!!!) or should i wait a week? then call them again.... I just hate when....things like this happens... it makes me more depress.....( I just dont want to call them and ask them to send it to me) does any one recommend anything? (sigh!)

hey... I just took nclex 8/3/13 saturday and did the PVT No good pop up (it went to CC) I had 130 questions (5-6 SATA, 1 strips..1 math etc......) I wanted more questions but it stopped....(sigh ) hah.....so I failed...... I studied Kaplan, Lacharity, Hurst (I borrowed book from my friend) I thought I studied a lot everyday and pray everyday.... idk...maybe nurse is not right thing for me....(I'm just so tired of worrying about test and i'm so exhusted spending money money... ) I'm getting an official results next tuesday but I know I failed (wait another 45 days!) I just don't know what to say to my parents who supported me and believed in me... I just don't know what to do... is there any tutoring for NCLEX? (does anyone know? or good review class I should take?)

thanks RileyRN2013....... I called the nurse manager and left a voicemail..two hours ago...hopefully she ...calls me back .... I really think...she should call me back even though she is not going to hire me.. it does not take a long time to call or email someone and say they're not interested in hiring me if she doesnt call me back until next tuesday......I will either give up or email her..... ..I'm just paranoid..and frustrated...

I'm just frustrated right now.... i went to interview two weeks ago... I thought it went well...and also gave nurse manager a recommendation letter...(she said she will look at it) and she asked me if I wanted to shadow a nurse....so I told her "yes" then Nurse manager told me....to call her if I would like to have a position after shadowing a nurse..... After I shadow a nurse...I called nurse manager back and told her I would be very interested in it........(this was last monday) and Nurse manager said..."we will make decision probably next monday and give you a call" now its friday (11 days after) did not hear or recieved any calls... Iam very frustrated and feel like a looser it was my first job interview and i DID practice practice (but i dont know if nurse manager liked it or not.......I was very nervous) I wanted this job so much......(my dream was to become a cardiac nurse) Do you guys have any recommendations? should I call nurse manage following monday? I'm just scared to call her again... or email her?....(I just dont know what to say....) I just dont like when things just goes out of my plan.... .I just want a call ....telling me if I got hired or not......( i know i didnt since it is taking them longgggggg timmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) my friend told me to wait till next tuesday and call...(she said sometimes they take longer than what they said)... I really don;t know what to do....besides keep applying for another jobs....
