I no longer work at this hospital because I didn't want the risk of losing my license. I have been told I neede to report them to the state board?!?

My job offer came 3 weeks after interview.

They do "team" nursing LPN give PO meds RN do all assessments, ivpb, IV pushes, vital signs and don't think about asking cna for anything or the DON will yell at you (yes that really happened), and I went to med surg manager with my concerns and she laughed at me. Now they wonder why I quit.

Well I followed RN on first day second day I had 2 patients then third day it was 10 patients with no RN on backup to help if I needed it because they had their own patients.

that's what I thought...CRAZY! I talked with manager this morning and she gave me a night off.

Just graduated RN school and started working on med-surg floor I followed another RN for 2 nights then turned loose to have 10 patients. Is this the norm or what????
