If you can answer, anybody know the pay rate range for TN....specifically Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, or even (smaller town) Greeneville??? I would appreciate the info.
I worked for "the big house" for 9 yrs. I live 70 miles north of Jackson, finally got smart and realized it wasn't going to get any better. Now I have crossed the state line, working in KY, making 6 dollars an hour more than I was. Even paying Ky taxes I am coming out better, not driving as far either.
What is the starting pay for RN's at St.Francis and St.Jude hospitals in Memphis, TN?:monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance:
I was told 19.65 for new grads at st. francis and I dont know about St. Jude.
I used to live in Jackson we moved to memphis over the summer... couldn't make me work at the main hospital in jackson. I hate having clinicals there. Miserable. Glad I only have 2 clinicals left. Also the pay here is not too bad, and including shift diff is really nice. and for those out there who have spouse's with perfect benefits that don't need benefits of their own.. really got it going on with the money!
i work in knoxville i have a little over one year exp. as an rn and i make 19.11 plus 18% night diff and 3 dollar weekend diff plus if i work extra shifts i get a 150 dollar bonus per shift plus ot pay and full benefits
Can you tell me which hospital that is? I am currently scoping out the different pay rates and so far am discouraged. You can contact me via Private Message.

I ended up working in Memphis but only because I could do per diem. Jackson new grad rates are extremely competitive with Memphis now. I think it's 19.40/hr 3.50 nights, 2.00 weekends. I think staffing depends on the floor. There were some floors I was on (in school) with very good staffing, long term nurses, and excellent nurse to pt ratios. Ie on days they had 4-5 pts on tele (albeit they don't use monitor techs which still perplexes me) where i work now it's very frequently 6-7 on days, a number I'd like to see go down! But we do staff very well with supplementary staff, more so thank jackson.
