Did anybody else notice this change to the Maricopa nursing website?
"Starting in June the CEP website will be taken down for updates. Please check back in late June for CEP information, updated brochures, and a new CEP admission rubric which will go into effect with the fall CEP intake cycle which begins on December 1, 2018!"
I will be taking my last 2 classes fall semester so does anybody know what those changes are? I don't want to be surprised if they add any more requirements.
TIA

I haven't heard anything. I'm guessing that changes may only be minor ones - for example a small increase in GPA, perhaps? I did hear that the colleges are moving more and more towards CEP only (and slowly doing away with the ADN), although that is hear-say and who knows if and when it will ever happen?

I am on the ADN waitlist and will be applying for CEP in December. I just found the new updated website and the rubric has really changed!
It's a total of 100 possible points.
40% GPA, (multiply your GPA X 10)
15% Hesi math (multiply your score X 0.15)
35% Hesi English (multiply your score X 0.35)
2.5 points for each previous degree (10 points maximum)
Total 100 points

Hi Chilly!
Based on the new rubric I'm sitting at about 86 points, although I am working on 2 more classes. I hope it's enough to push me into a spot. Hopefully we make it
I hope so too. My ending numbers will all depend on my grades for these 3 courses I'm in now. Good luck to you!

I'm at 82.5 points... this new rubric isn't good for me because I fell on the bottom of the high brackets for the higher ones. What is everyone else at?
I won't know exactly until I'm done with the 3 classes I'm taking now...if I can get an A in all of them I'll have 92 but I don't know if I'll be able to make that.

I'm at 80 points! I may retake the Hesi to bump it up a little :). I have all As and Bs, prior degree, and 88 on math and around 93 on Eng for the Hesi so I'm going to shoot for higher on that. Good luck all of us!!!

I am sitting at 85/86 points. I hope that score is competitive enough to get me into one of the 3 community colleges that I am applying to. Good luck to everyone applying December 2019-January 2020.
