Anatomy is pretty much memorization of the body parts. I don't know of anything that would help. Just studying as far as I know. I had a hard time because there was so much memorization, but I got through it and it was very interesting, too. Each bone has about 12 different things located on it to know. Just study and you'll do fine.
Well, my own personal opinion is that A&P1 IS the pre-req. There really isn't anything else that can prepare you for it. Biology is very general, and may help you with some of the cellular A&P, but when it comes to tissues, organs, systems, etc, it (A&P1) pretty much stands on its own. It is a lot of memorization. Lab will help you immensely, but I'm not sure anything else will be as beneficial except to study, study, study. A&P1 and 2 will be crucial for your understanding of pathophysiology and your nursing courses, so it really deserves the attention you'll be required to give it.
Best of luck to you!
Where I am going they offer Fundamentals of Human A&P (Bio 110), like a pre-A&P. From what I understand that is enough to get you accepted into nursing school but obviously you have to take A&P I&II. I decided to take Bio 110 because I already have a lot of the pre reqs out of the way and that will prepare me for the real thing and from what I've heard about that class, I need all the help I can get lol. I will be taking A&P 1 in the spring hopefully. Good Luck :)
I have been looking into those museums I've learned they are scattered throughout the country, they are just so far away from me. I've found there's one in NYC and one in PA and both are about 6 hours away. My husband and I have been considering planning a trip near one of them because I've heard they are very helpful to anatomy students. If anybody knows of any other locations near upstate NY I'd be glad to know. There was an exhibit in Rochester but it is gone now and I never knew a thing of it, lol.

Hello,
Can you tell me exactly what pre-reqs should be taken to help to get a good grade out of anatomy 1?
Also, what is the different b/w biology and microbiology?
Thanks.
