Uhh, my A&P1 book was 314.78 plus she would like us to get other books that would push my total to 501.32! :banghead::twocents:What was the total amount you paid for your A&P book?

So I did actually find the internatiol book on ebay for 69.90 but I was skeptical about it. So you say that the contents are the same? Well what is the difference and also shoul the cover be different than the one in US?

Yes, the contents are the same but the covers differ. US edition is hardcover and international is softcover and has different picture. That's all!

Amazon & even ebay are excellent for buying used text books.

I bought my A&P book (marieb) a few weeks ago (it's an international edition - but same exact stuff) on ebay for like, 40 bucks. The lab book is a different story, that I had to buy new from the bookstore and that was around $130.

I would only buy new or from a school bookstore if I had no other options. They completely price gouge you..it's not cool! :(

I never buy the "recommended books" either...I only buy the required items.

I bought the international edition for my AP class this semester.

Same exact stuff, even comes with a cd.

Softcover.

The inside pictures are colored (which is needed for AP) while some international editions are b&w.

Get it!! WAY cheaper than buying new or even used from a college bookstore.

Mine is 235 for the book bundle which includes a body atlas, cd and book and 98 for the lab manual, my total is $333, but I checked and saw that they use the same book for A&P 2 so I'm pretty happy about that.

I need to find my book asap. The syllabus calls for Principals of Anatomy & Physiology by Tate..but my professor is using Anatomy And Physiology: The Unity of Form and Function by Saladin (go figure!). I'm going to try to get Saladin's..

I don't have money to throw around so I will DEFINITELY be hitting up ebay..and trying to find the international version..

So we are using the Seeley's Principals of Anatomy & Physiology by Tate to and I am a little confused because all the ones I find online has a different cover. If you find out what the ISBN number is for that book you should be able to find it with no problem. I am not trying to pay alot for my books either!

I have class tomorrow so I'm going to find out specifically the ISBN's of both books. It's just so confusing..the course outline has Seeley's..while my professor had NO IDEA that there was a new book..and he's still working out of Saladin. :banghead:

I don't want to spend more that $100 for the book..less would be better! I also need the lab textbook..which is Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory Textbook - Short Version, 7th edition by Benson, Gunstream, Talaro & Talaro

$438 ...a brand new product, so it was unavailable from any other source :scrying:

I just paid 423.18 for 4 books, 3/4 of which went to my a&p.... no fun!!

For Bio 20 (Anatomy) & Bio 22 (Physiology) I used the previous version of the text book. They had just switched to 12th ed. When I asked the phys instructor he said "There haven't been any major changes so 10, 11 12 doesn't matter". I used the 10th ed. which cost $12 on Amazon compared to $130. I also used an older international ed. for Microbiology that was fine. I got As in all 3 classes at the same time.

I caught 1 error in the AP book (also found an error in the new edition v. mine), but by paying attention in class it was not an issue. If I hadn't caught it I would have missed a cpl points, not a big deal.

Not everyone is comfortable with this but it sure is saving me A LOT of money because from 1 ed. to the next there are usually only very minor changes, usually with illustrations - Instructors usually know so I ask. In Micro I was just a cpl pages off but otherwise no difference inactual info.

I've been using an A&P book from the library, but I just ordered the same book from amazon for $30.
