I took AP1 a few years ago, I've been taking some courses online. It just works easier for my schedule. I bit the bullet an will be the second class to take AP@ online. The professor said out of 100 students 1 failed, 90 passed the final and liked it, the other 9 didn't like it.

I also am taking computer lit. I figured it was be an easy class to take with ap2 on line.

Has anyone taken science online, or nursing courses online>

Where are you taking your online class at????? I am taking A & P 1 at Rio Salado in Arizona but this program is horrible. They litterally give you the book and tell you the mid term is on chapters 1 -9 and don't narrow the info at all, no review at all. I call it facilitation rather then education. I have the final this Friday and I don't know if I will pass the class or not but I am shopping for other online A & P classes. I have to do it online because I am a fireman and we have a rotating schedule. Thanks,

I took A&P I online and am now taking part II online as well with the same professor. I got an A in part I. We have to go in once a week for a 3 hour lab. While people have commented to me that I am *missing* out on some possible classroom experience, I feel like I am learning a lot. The major influence for me is that I am a mom of 2 small children. I do my work every night after the kids are in bed. These courses are full of so much information and I find there is so much studying. If I were driving back and forth to campus to take the course a few times a week, I would still have an enormous amount of work to do at night. So I guess I feel like that travel time became my extra study time.

Good luck on the final Frank....

I just finished up the same class at Rio...the final was very very tough. I got a D on both of the multiple choice sections, the essay section isn't graded yet. Fortunately, I still have a B in the class. I studied my butt off to no avail...

I do agree that there is very little interaction, and my professor refused to let me know where I could improve...gah.

Hey Bananers any insight you can give me of the final would be appricated. I am taking it tomorrow and also have have a B going too. I don't want exact questions or answers because that would be cheating. HAHAHAHA But any areas that where hit heavily or good topics to look at.

I took micro through Rio. Actually, I seem to recall something from Rio's own website saying they "facilitate learning" rather than instruct.

In other words, just like you said, your course is your textbook and they are just the accredited institution that will grade your mid-term, final exam, then issue you a transcript. That's it.

I also took Micro through Rio along with CHM 130 and regular BIO. The other classes had alot more direction and the instructors I had were excellent and actually taught me a lot. But I know several people local here in AZ that had a horrible A & P experiences with them. Unfortunatly I did not discover this until it was too late. Also I never read their website page by page I went down in person to meet with an advisor and the Nursing staff. Apparently there are other posters here that are very unimpressed with this institution. Take a look at their Mission Statement what a list of lies. After I take my final I am meeting with the department staff to discuss my displeasure.

The labs (and I do use that term loosely) are done via software and/or internet sites.
