I am going to be taking A&P this summer. What can I do to freshen up; I haven't taken biology in 8 years?

CliffsNotes Anatomy & Physiology Quick Review. Cheap and short. Most review books have too much fluff, this has more meat.

A&P contains bio but is much different.

The last time I took any type of biology was in high school, so I'm also catching up and reviewing. I'm also taking a summer course. Cliffnotes Quick review sounds good to me.

I am finishing up A&P this semester and was in the same boat as you. I definitely recommend freshening up on BIO and Chemistry a little bit as well as taking advantage of tools such as cliff notes or internet sites. There are plenty of websites available that can quiz you and help you practice A&P so that you are well-prepared for class. Also, make sure you take some time to read the material before each class period, that way you are familiar with what is being taught and you can actually focus on comprehending the material rather than writing it all down. Hope these tips help you as much as they've helped me! Good luck!

Hello I would try to see if I could get the syllabus. If you can go ahead and skim the chapters that you'll be discussing the first week. Most professors will send this to you. Good luck, oh and watching Youtube videos should help as well.

Skim chapters before class! It will help you! It's okay that you've been out of bio for a while, A&P teaches many new things. Just keep on top of the studying.

Hey,

I'm also taking Anatomy & Physiology this summer. I have about 10 days until school start and have already started to read the first few chapters, just to get familiar with the terminology and topics that's ahead. I also downloaded a very useful A&P app on my tablet that has a really cool atlas of the body...my way of preparing.

Good Luck!!
