In April I wrote the article in hopes that my story would inspire other nursing students to persevere against the odds. If you read the original article you will learn that I was a nursing student who beat the odds when my grade appeal was successful after failing a second class. And I was astonished when my article gained attention both positive and negative. To my dismay shortly after the article was published I was notified by an administrator that my username would have to be changed from "BornANurseJB" to "ToBeBornANurseJB". After my username had to be changed, I somehow lost my password and have not been able to gain access to that account. I received some really sweet messages from other members and I hate that I lost touch with those who reached out. So I wanted to give those who care to read an update. Since then I have graduated nursing school (August) and last week I passed the NCLEX (1st time). So today I decided to make a new account with the degree and initials I fought so hard for! It's NurseJen_BSN,RN :)
Florence Nightingale once said, "I attribute my success to this: I never gave or took an excuse." Today less than a year later I can proudly say that I never gave or took an excuse. And I hope I always have an attitude that reflects that.
Thank you!
chaos, if she answered question correctly that were marked incorrect, she appealed AND won, she did not fail twice.
She technically failed twice. I want to know why 8 people appealed but only 2 won. Why was she let back in when she failed once before? What about the others? Did they fail before?

I have no obligation what so ever to answer to you but I am still so tickled that you care so much. I called you a fan cause that's what you are, love me or hate me you're still commenting on the post when clearly none of your questions really matter now that I'm an RN. Perhaps you failed a class before or maybe you have nothing to do better to do with your time. Not sure which one it is.
But here's a video I saw last night... so true -->

Lol. No, I don't want to be just like you. I don't want to fail nursing school twice & have to appeal the second time to get back in. How about I just pass the first time so I don't have to worry & not make any excuses? I don't love or hate you. I have zero emotion toward you. I'm just responding towards posts.
No, not a fan. By the way, it's a forum & I comment on any posts I feel like as long as I abide by the TOS. No, I never failed a class in nursing school. Sorry! I took nursing school seriously.

Your choice of semantics in your original post was insulting to many nurses and students. You voluntarily posted in a public forum.
Sometimes when trying to do positive self talk on a public forum "I am destined for greatness" appears more arrogant and self promoting than what you later attempted to clarify.
You made your choices. You finally graduated. You passed the NCLEX and are now licensed and working as a registered nurse. Good for you.
