I love Gomerblog. I love it even more when people express righteous indignation over stories, not realizing that they. are. satire.

My favorite example of that was an Onion article from 1999 (I'm Totally Psyched About this Abortion!) that 7 years later some crazy dude went on a rampage about, thinking it was real.

The above article? I had a patient elope on me. And she didn't get married. She ran out of the hospital and took a cab to Massapequa.

Last time I leave the floor to get a Diet Coke.

My favorite was the kid who went in the pool with the t-shirt, thinking it didn't make him look fat.

It is HORRIBLE.

Lolol. A few years back I worked in outpatient x-ray, and we had our patients wear scrubs for their imaging studies (which were notably really soft because they'd gone through the wash hundreds of times). One afternoon I went into the linen closet to grab a patient some scrubs and found another patient's visitor in the linen closet...holding five pairs of scrubs in her hands...with another three pairs stuffed in her purse...

Somehow the article doesn't strike me as entirely inaccurate :sneaky:

Yep, it was the Diet Coke; artificial sweeteners will do that. :p
