I haven't been to any of the Multicriteria meetings on the new application process for American River College but I have a question:

If ARC is selecting students from the top 30% of applicants and automatically giving top 30% spots to those who have applied 5 or more times, does this mean that the top 30% will be made primarily of those who have applied 5 or more times?

Does it mean that you need an even higher score to be put in the top 30%/one is less likely to get a spot in the top 30% based on the multicriteria score? Or is it the top 30% of the multicriteria scores AND 5+ time applicants are included in the selection pool?

I hope some of this makes at least a little sense :)

Did any of you apply to Sierra, I heard through the grapevine that they sent some acceptence emails out yesturday, I didnt get any thing though. Just thought I would pass on the info I got today.

I didn't apply to Sierra. I did my pre reqs out of state and they were the only school that did t accept my microbiology. Go figure.

Hello! Just found this discussion and thought I would join! I have applied to ARC nursing, this is my 6th time and I am waiting to hear if I have been rejected again! I stopped applying to Sac City and Sierra after the 4th time, not sure why I guess I got tired of stressing out. I have also applied to Sac City LVN but have not been chosen, this is my 3rd time........this is crazy! But I see I am not alone!

I was 1.5 points away from Sac city!!! I am still annoyed, I get made every time I think about it.

Well guys party on.

I just cant help but laugh at us a little cuz here in a week or two it will all be over but for now it seems like an eternity. I also am having troulbe working, cant stay focused!

Lol its just the opposite for me I'm qualified for sac city but, arc disqualified me for the first time with their new criteria this time around! I hope all of you get into arc! At one point I didnt have enough points for scc when they first started that criteria stuff but I made up for it later.
