I haven't been to any of the Multicriteria meetings on the new application process for American River College but I have a question:
If ARC is selecting students from the top 30% of applicants and automatically giving top 30% spots to those who have applied 5 or more times, does this mean that the top 30% will be made primarily of those who have applied 5 or more times?
Does it mean that you need an even higher score to be put in the top 30%/one is less likely to get a spot in the top 30% based on the multicriteria score? Or is it the top 30% of the multicriteria scores AND 5+ time applicants are included in the selection pool?
I hope some of this makes at least a little sense :)
That is awesome! Congrats! I wonder if they are doing them by last name? What is the first inital of your last name? My application status has not changed from qualified.
My last name is Johnson... On eservices, my status still says received :)
@CJR I'm glad the odds were in your favor! Go SCC tributes! :)
Hey everyone! Long time lurker but first time poster... Congrats to all the people who got into the program and good luck to those still applying. I just received my acceptance to SCC! But I'm curious as to which semester people are getting. I got accepted to the Fall semester and not that I am complaining, but I sort of needed to get into the Spring semester. Do any of you know if it's possible to trade with someone or how you can switch? If it isn't possible, I'll take my spot for sure. I know that I am very very lucky! I'm pretty excited for all of us! It's been a long road for all of us!

Thanks! My application is qualified right now but I'm thinking if I don't hear from them by tomorrow that I did not get in! I just received an email this morning that I was selected for SCC LVN program so now I have to decide if I accept, I wish they would let you know about Nursing asap, I only have 4 days to accept the LVN selection but I want to hold out for Nursing!
