Alvin Community College - ADN Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello.... The application period for Alvin Community College spring 2017 ADN program starts in 2 days... I will be submitting my application for consideration. Just wanted to know if there is anyone else who will be applying too.

3 days to the deadline.....

Hello everyone. My app is completed with ACC and now the waiting starts. I don't think anyone should be discouraged. The application number may well be high but when I attended the meeting it just seemed like many of the applicant were just not going to make the deadline. I don't wish anyone bad, but I truly believe that most applicants will be weeded out right off the top.. I wish everyone the best!!

Which is a better program. Alvin or Lone Star.

You will probably have to check their NCLEX results for the last couple of years to figure that out.

I hand delivered my transcripts to the Registrars Office, but there are still X's on my application status. If I turned in my transcripts before the deadline, but there are still X's is that OK? I'm nervous now...

In case anyone was in the same boat that I was in... They emailed me back and said I'm good as long as the print date and time on my transcripts were before the deadline. So thank god everything is good to go! Also, I mentioned earlier I would post my hesi scores after I took it...

Hello everyone,

I also applied to the ADN program at ACC. I am very anxious just waiting. I have tried to get into an accelerated nursing program for about a year now but didn't have any luck. My goal was to start by Spring of 2017 and Alvin was one of the only schools I met the deadline for after hearing the bad news from other schools earlier this year. I have a previous bachelors degree and a decent science GPA however my overall score for the HESI was only a 84 you all did great scoring As! I just wanted to share my anxiety with you guys lol since I am sure we are all on the same boat! Best of luck to all of you!

I wish you the best. The application(waiting) process is very intense. I have everything I need for the BSN program so I applied for both. I am currently waiting to see which one will give me the good news(fingers crossed) I don't want to miss Spring 2017. I would rather start somewhere. Oh and I heard that ACC is starting a dual credit program for current ADN student wanting to get started on their BSN courses.

Hello everyone. I just received an email stating that my application is complete and i should be notified about acceptance, denial or alternate by November 14th. Anyone else recieved that email?

I did, but I received it earlier this month I believe like the second week of the month. I would have thought they were already sending acceptance or alternative notifications.

Yeah me too. It's been over a month already.... Hopefully, they will send the notifications soon enough. Background checks, vaccines, titers all take some time to complete. I wonder if we will have enough time.

Hi all Spring 2017 applicants! I applied for ACC and also for UTMB Summer 2017 BSN program. I just received an email from ACC today saying that my application was complete and will be notified approximately November 14th as to whether or not I'm accepted. Here are some of my stats:

Cumulative HESI score- 86.8%

Overall GPA- 3.62

Anxiously waiting for an acceptance letter and wishing everyone the best of luck towards their nursing career!
