Hmmm... I haven't received that "application process complete" email yet although the checklist online shows everything is complete. I have a 3.9 GPA on the prereqs and a 92 on the HESI. :-(

@houtxn when did you apply? They go in order of when the applications are recieved. No worries, with those scores you'll get in :)

My last transcript, and final piece of the "puzzle" was dated as received August 29. Everything else was towards the beginning of the application period. Hopefully I'll hear something soon.

Once they send you that email that means they have reviewed your application and have determined you acceptance status already. You may not get an application complete email just because everything was marked completed closer to the the deadline. I noticed those who applied right when the application opened with pretty much everything complete, received their email the soonest. I noticed from previous threads also that some ppl didn't get application complete emails but were still accepted :)

So when we talk about GPA, is it about overall academic GPA or nursing curriculum courses GPA they going to look at ?

@ethiorn from what I gathered it's just prerequisite gpa and science gpa they look at. That's the standard for most nursing programs. The big schools like UT, A&M, Baylor, etc. look at overall academics as well

Hey Everyone,

Good Saturday Morning to all future nursing students.

So, I called ACC yesterday because I was so anxious to see if we received our application completion email, they had already dictated what our status would be as far as acceptance. The lady whom I spoke to had said that they are still reviewing and they have not decided as of yet. They said they are aiming for next week, but they said till end of October is the time given till we find out. I know everyone is anxious!

See when accepting us, they take a lot of things into consideration such as our HESI SCORES, PRE-REQ GPA, I also think they give extra consideration for those who have completed A&P I & II , and even if you live in the Alvin District. There are so many factors that come into play I guess when deciding our acceptance. KEEP FAITH ! :) Everything is under God's perfect WILL :)
