Starting a thread for people applying for Spring 2015 at Alvin Community College. Also wondering if anyone knows what counts as proof for Hepatitis B immunity?

I just text the girl that I met at info session ACC. She said she received email from them that said they received her application and all requirements are completed.

Did any of get email like that? I didn't.

I have been checking on my status section and all parts has a check on it.

No I have yet to receive any emails from them, and all parts of my application process are complete as well. Did she say when she received that email? & should we maybe inquire why we haven't received one...

She said Last Tuesday which is day before yesterday hmmm.

I am guessing , they started to evaluate applications, one by one. I am hoping we'll hear from them soon, when it is our turn:facepalm:

As far as I know, Karen is the only one working on the applications. I'm betting she evaluates our transcripts, does the HESI scores, puts all our information in, and calculates our points.

yes, my friend received her notification via email and said all communication is through email.

I think that some ppl are receiving emails saying they are complete because they are starting to evaluate each application. We may not have received one yet depending on when you submitted your application. Im sure its in order of how they were received, and i submitted my application about the mid september and had everything checked off as completed. Don't worry guys, we will hopefully hear something soon! :)

MissKAL , I think you meant mid August the due date was September 4.

Does anyone know around what month/date we will have a final decision? If I'm not mistaken at the information meeting they said mid October? Also, does anybody know how many they intend on bringing in and how many will be wait listed?

They said mid October we should find out. They stuck to their deadline last semester as well. I believe last semester they placed 20 applicants on the wait list. I'm not sure about the number of students they will accept. I wanna say between 40-60.

On the purple paper that they gave us at info session , the one that says "Admission Meeting Outline" under Admission process

#3 - " Approximately 40 students are selected for admission for the class starting in January with 20 students placed on the alternate list"

#4 - official communication will be via email make sure you have valid email( I checked on the main ACC account to see if they got the right on there system)

#5 - admission status will be send out via email second week in October. .. and so on

Oh you are absolutely right. I just found & reviewed my purple paper. So October it is....just a few days away really lol
