Alvin Community College ADN Spring 2015

Published

Starting a thread for people applying for Spring 2015 at Alvin Community College. Also wondering if anyone knows what counts as proof for Hepatitis B immunity?

Thanks for the replies guys. I was just wondering if we are the only ones still waiting. Does anyone know if they are accepting 40 or 60 students this time. Previous threads have stated up to 60 students.

MissKal, the purple packet that they gave use at the information meeting says approximately 40 students selected with 20 on the alternate list.

Hey you all...just wanted to inform you that my classmate received her acceptance letter to HBU today. So the major universities are also underway. Hopefully we hear something soon. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!! :)

Good to hear! They surely are, TWU and UTMB have sent theirs out as well. Alvin told you starting tomorrow we may get emails so hopefully by end of next week we will all know!

Today would be nice!!! And I'm not sure why she said Saturday because I doubt they are working...unless it's an automated email they are sending out???

UT Health sent there's out as well.

Hi all! I just found this forum recently. I, like everyone else, am anxiously (and not always so patiently) waiting to hear if I have been accepted for Spring. I have been checking my emails constantly all week. I hope we all hear something very soon!

Welcome Jen5555! :) If you don't mind me asking are you a first time applicant, or are you currently attending & how were your stats (GPA, completely pre-reqs, Hesi Scores?

This is the first time I've applied to the ADN program. I have been taking classes at ACC. My Hesi was 90 overall and 96 Reading...I remember at the meeting they said they look at the Reading score also. My GPA is 3.5.

I have taken A&P 1 and 2, English Comp 1, both psychology classes, dosage calculations, and currently in microbiology and health assessment.

Oh those stays look great, you will have no problem getting in! How was pharm at Alvin? I am currently taking it but at another school and it's no joke.

Thank you, I hope they're good enough. Is pharm the same as dosage calculations? If so it was a good class at ACC. My professor was great and broke it all down so it was easy to understand.

Oh well that's good, I wish I would have taken it at Alvin. Which professor did you take? Just wondering if he teaches any other courses within the ADN program...
