Hi there, any of you applying to the fall 2011 program?

Yea me too. I tried getting into the uta online program and it took forever for them to complete my profile. They keep saying I never sent in a transcript when I did three times. I think I am going to stay away from uta and go with utmb

So did any of you get your stethoscope yet? I got a Littman (the one they mentioned in the packet). Just wondering if anyone got something a little more than the basic?

I bought a littman because i needed it for my health assessment class and that was the one my instructor recommended. They require you to have one with a diaphragm and bell.Also a little FYI, I was told color didn't matter.

I have to finish my chem, govts, and I can apply I think..I will try for the spring semsters after Im done..but Im going to a meeting this sat about that..I had made a reservation for the open house months ago... So we will see what they offer..I start my dosage and pharm on Monday..YAY!

Is pharmacology a course offered at Alvin? I didn't seem it anywhere and it worried me because it's a classic nursing course that everyone says is tough... Didn't want to miss out...and as a result do bad on the NCLEX. Does anyone know??

Are littmans supposed to be better quality?

They are the minimum required by the program. Littman is a well known brand and good quality. I have a basic "cheapy" one and it is heavy. The littman is much lighter!

Still number 2 :(College of the Mainland people got their acceptance letters and I was hoping to move up but no luck

I noticed that Alvin does not offere pharm either.. uh oh... lol Im sure they do has anyone asked??
