Alvin Community College (ACC) - ADN Spring 2025

Applying to the Alvin ADN program for the Spring of 2025?

Since there was no post on it, I thought I'd start one. I am making this thread so we can all go through the application process together. I believe we will find out sometime in October or November. Are you guys in the process of applying yet? Any insight into the program? What are typical statistics for accepted students?

I just attended the ADN meeting. Very nervous! I know they only take 40 students. ACC is my first choice so I am really praying for good news! That being said, I do know it is competitive so I have applied at others as well.

Hey there I'm so glad someone posted on here, I would love to talk about what we need to get done along this journey!

So glad to see a thread for Spring 2025! I am also applying to Alvin for this cycle. I was a nursing student at Alvin in the fall of 2021, did well, but had to withdraw from the program for personal reasons.

Hey! if you don't mind sharing, what were your stats when you got in the first time ?

Of course! My HESI overall score was a 94. Received a 92 on the reading portion. My GPA is around 3.5 I think for the prerequisites (I haven't fully calculated it LOL).  I also have my bachelors degree and at the time had my current CNA certificate for extra points but I let it expire so I won't be getting those points this time around.

Hi! I applied for the ADN program as well but I'm so mad cause I missed the meeting due to technical issues and I know it's mandatory! However, they will still consider my application since I completed the other steps😓. I'm so nervous!

Do any of you know when the acceptance letters go out?

Approximately 6weeks after the application period closed. We're on week four so maybe sometime in the next two weeks.

Anyone heard anything yet?

Nope, I'm starting to get anxious.
