Good luck everyone.

Hello Mimi,

I applied to Alvin and to COM ... San Jac will be my third choice :)

HESI cumulative 93.6

GPA 3.54

Hello Everyone I applied as well! Does anyone know when we hear anything about being accepted or not?

I went to Alvin's applicant meeting and they said it takes 2-4 weeks to be notified from the application deadline.

Im not sure when COM will send out acceptance letters. On the application it says 1-2 weeks.

Hey you guys. COM sent out acceptance today and I was accepted! Good luck to you all!

I got accepted too!

Hello Mimi,

HESI cumulative 93.6

I graduated from COM 2 years ago. That program changed my entire life. Tackled COVID units straight out of nursing school and just 9 months later I left the Texas hospital system altogether for travel nursing! Made TONS of money, great friends, and I bonded with many families. So I say too you guys keep pushing! The sacrifice is DEFINITELY worth it in the end. This site crossed my mind as I remember it was my go to when I was just starting out looking for info. Kinda cool looking back too where I am Now. God is great. I wish you all much success. I loved COM. Do your study guides for exams, READ the disease process. Know what it is, how too treat it, and typical signs and symptoms that you would see in the patient. ?

Hello ?

Thank you, this is very encouraging as I am getting ready to start the program in the next 2 weeks! I wish you the best ❤️ and am looking forward to what this next chapter of my life holds.

Hello everyone, for you guys who have taken the program already and for the ones in the program now can you give a little

insight on what to expect.

Im applying for Summer 2024. Any insights or tips?

Hello Ana! I'm currently about to graduate this Spring and it hasn't been bad overall.

For Summer, it's more difficult since the courses are 10 weeks. For mental health course the exams was easy, but med surg was more difficult. Tests was every 2 weeks as well. It felt harder to juggle work and school during the Summer months but it's doable and I have no doubt that you will pass. Time management will be key during this semester.

For Fall, it was so MUCH EASIER. Class every  Wednesday and Friday. Clinical was mostly once a week (you might have it twice but only happens about 1 week in the semester). The Med surg course was easy, but pedi/ob will prob take more study time. Still doable and you can also work so much more.

For Spring (currently) class is similar to fall, as well as clinical. I can't speak much about the tests since I haven't taken any yet LOL.

Overall, the program isn't hard at all, and definitely doable. Good luck on your journey, you definitely can do it!

My GPA is 3.2 and HESI cumulative is 91.20%, Im applying for Summer 2024 program. Do y'all think my scores are competitive? I graduated from COM CNA program and made a 1000 on CT.
