If you can do like one visit/semester, I would highly recommend UofMichigan/Flint. Although, it is competitive and full time students there are called "suicidals" for a good reason.
Plus, yes, 12 to 16 hours clinicals/week is bare minimum. Those who really wanted to get somewhere did twice as much and then some more (without making school know it).
There are plenty of good quality brick and mortar programs that offer online courses with no visits. I am attending a program several states away. I put in at LEAST 18 hours of clinical a week plus another 18 in just studying/reading and assignments. Online does not always mean easier and can be quite grueling but it is convenient for those of us with young kiddos and a full time job!
There are lots of online FNP, but I think the bigger portion is clinicals, and those may be tough for you. I would try and find a brick and mortar school around your area that offers online classes.
Some of the schools may also let you take certain classes prior to being matriculated into the FNP program, so doing that may help with the work load! The program I am interested in lets you take advanced pharmacology, advanced pharm, and one other one, but the caveat is that you have to take the NP board exam within 5 years of taking them. Good luck!

I am looking for an all online FNP program. I have young children and my husband is active duty military making attending mandatory trips, often for days at a time, not doable at this time. Looking for any information or testimonials of schools you've attended or attend and if there is any I should steer clear of. Thanks!
